Redditch Road & Path Cycling Club

We want everyone to experience the joy and freedom that comes from riding a bicycle.

About

Our cycling club, located in Worcestershire, England, has a long history dating back to 1885, when the first members formed a social group based around their interest in the recently popularised 'safety' bicycle. You could say that we haven't changed much.
We are a friendly group of people who share a passion for the sport of cycling. We enjoy rides together, social events and many like to test their mettle on the racing scene.
In addition, the youth section of the club has a number of experienced and qualified coaches who aim to give children the skills they need to foster a lifetime of cycling.

Cyclocross

Cyclo-Cross can be likened to cross-country running, but on
bikes. Cyclo-cross bikes look similar to road bikes but have
been optimised to help the rider tackle mud, grass, gravel or
sand. Cyclo-cross is a discipline that has grown rapidly,
particularly for club-level riders, who can enjoy the friendly no-pressure environment and participate in some competitive cycling off-road.
Our club riders are heavily involved in the West
Midlands Cyclo-Cross League
and we also organise one of the rounds, typically on a Sunday in Autumn. If you are completely new to cyclo-cross, we highly recommend that you volunteer at our event to see and experience the thrill of cyclo-cross first-hand.
